Psychotic Informer - 7/9/11

1. Today is a very slow news day, so this post won’t be very long, but I’m going to try my best! The PAX 10 Indie Game Award Winners have been announced! In first place came a game called ‘A Flipping Good Time’, a PC game where you alter gravity to avoid obstacles and other hazards. Other games that were in the Top 10 include: Solar 2, a game where you take control of planets and grow your own solar system and invade other planets. This game sounds pretty cool just by the sounds of it! Another game is Snapshot (which I am very interested) in which your character can take pictures of an object in the game and it gets erased from existence, and you can take it out of the camera and place it somewhere else to use in a puzzle! 2. Could you imagine seeing a L.A. Noire film? It might be happening! A new trademark called ‘Rockstar Films’ has been filed, being directly related to the game company. We expect them to make film adaptations of our favorite games like Grand Theft Auto and L.A. Noire! The Internet is mostly speculating about a GTA movie, which I think would be cool. Could you imagine flying cars on the big screen? That is, if they know the cheat codes. (For more information, read the full article: http://bit.ly/qK263d)

3. Today’s Steam Summer Deal of the Day Sales include: The entire Prince of Persia series at 75% off for $15, Portal 2 at 50% off for $25, and Terraria at 75% for only $2.50! I highly recommend getting Terraria, as in the upcoming future there will be a Psychotic Gaming Terraria server, and we want everyone possible to play! Also, tomorrow is the last day of sales, so be sure to take advantage of some of these deals before it's too late!

  2. Rockstar films? Thats pretty interesting due to fact its directly own by them. We might not see anymore crappy game movies like Resident Evil or Silent. But we can't be too hopeful either.(I'm a bit of a pessimist.)

    Thanks for posting!

  3. 1st. Indie Games Arent Really my thing But i Think I'll Watch Some Gameplay and Then Decide If I'll Play em or not.
2nd. Well I Liked the Original GTA 1 And 2 But I Don't Like the After Ones. From What I've seen of L.A. Noire It Is Awesome But There Have Been Some Bad Blood Between Games and Movies
